This isn't based on data, just game feel btw. Vanguard is probably closer to 1.25-1.5x the TTK of MW multiplayer. MW TTK is insanely low in multiplayer (as a result, every gun config is at least useable). I do think the game could be pretty alright though. The current balance is a bit of a joke, and if they stick with the higher TTK, that'll make the issues extra frustrating. Sound is horrible, visibility sucks, some of the menu options are 'make the game easier' buttons, like reduced screen shake. I will say that in its current state, this is pretty easily the worst COD game. This is just embarrassing with how close it is to MW2019 in game design. Cold War felt like they missed that call. MW2019 felt like the right time for COD to go 'live service' fully. That said, the game feels crazy uninspired, and it's weird for that to be the notable thing about a COD game of all things (which always feel uninspired). Cold War felt like an uphill battle until you got the parts for 'optimized' loadouts due to the higher TTK enabling sweats with said loadouts to fire second and still win pretty consistently. MW worked well enough because just about anything you put together was pretty useable. That said, the higher TTK than MW2019 will likely have some serious balance implications with the gunsmith being so similar to MW2019.

Just like with MW2019, I suspect that it'll have an audience that cares more about map/playstyle variety, but the vocal competitive COD fanbase will despise it for having a particularly non-competitive friendly design. The gunsmith also seems to have more in common with MW2019 than Cold War, meaning there's more focus on variety and fun and less focus on slowly unlocking the most optimized parts. I haven't played a whole lot yet, but they seem to be embracing a more diverse selection of maps similar to MW2019. As a fan of MW2019 (someone that has long since given up on COD being a half decent competitive game and just plays for fun gunplay and variety), I think I like what they're doing with Vanguard (which isn't much different from MW2019 lol).
